CARING FOR YOUR KNITWEAR
ABOUT LAMBSWOOL
Lambswool is a high-quality soft wool obtained from lambs the very first time they are sheared. Because this is virgin wool from young sheep, lambswool is finer that the wool of an older sheep and ensures unparalleled softness and quality.
Lambswool is soft and delicate to the touch but has excellent insulation properties. It is also breathable, meaning that it regulates the temperature of the wearer more effectively & requires minimal washing.
As well as being a 100% natural fibre it's also a renewable resource that is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable, it doesn't get much more sustainable.
WASHING, STORING & LOOKING AFTER
Here's some tips for making your garments last a lifetime...
- These products are Hand Wash Cool(inside out)/Dry Clean only as per our care label, the nature of Lambswool means that these garments require minimal washing but when doing so we advise adhering to the above.
- We wanted to test out machine washing and we did so by turning the product inside out, washing at 20°C on a 600 Spin with a number of other items - we can confirm this didn't shrink the garment but we do not recommend this based on advice from our factory.
- When drying your knitwear after washing please dry flat, its recommend wrapping the garment in a towel firstly to remove excess moisture - hanging on a washing line or radiator can result in your garment stretching.
- Store knitted garments by folding them away, never hang as this can result in the garment stretching.
- You might find your knitwear starts pilling over time (bobbling), this is nothing to do with the quality of our wool and is completely normal. The Lamsbwool we use is a 100% natural fibre and because of this when fibres rub together it can result in pilling overtime - no need to worry, maintaining is very easy and can be done by using debobblers, garment combs, lint roller or even a razor blade (we can confirm this actually works a treat, just be careful).
We've done extensive research so your garments remain part of your 'studio' for a lifetime & above is our advice - if you have any question please get in touch.
